Perfect for first-time riders ages 8 and up! These lessons focus on the basics of horsemanship, including grooming, saddling, mounting, dismounting, how to hold the reins, and how to properly guide a horse at the walk. Riders will also learn how to start, stop, and reverse their horse safely. Each lesson includes approximately 60 minutes of saddle time and is held once a week at the same scheduled time.

For riders with some previous riding experience who are comfortable with basic horsemanship. In this level, students will build on their foundation with a focus on guiding, control, and mastering safe walk and trot skills. Riders will learn posting and complete basic in-saddle exercises. Completion of Introductory Lessons or prior lessons at WRA is required before enrolling. If you're unsure which level is right for you, feel free to reach out!

Designed to advance rider confidence and technique, this level focuses on improving position and control while introducing basic patterns and diagonals. Riders will continue to refine their skills at the walk and trot. Enrollment requires successful completion of Level 1 or instructor approval.
