Summer Camps

Camp Details

All of our summer camps are 5 days, Monday through Friday, and typically last 3 hours per day and all day is available for some camps. Most Camps are available in both morning and afternoon sessions.

Horseback Riding Camps

Our horseback riding camps are our most hands-on camps, designed for riders of all levels of experience. Riders will experience a menagerie of activities each day and each week we have something new and exciting to learn. Students will ride for at least one hour each day. Riders in the younger age groups may have a slightly shorter ride time. Weather may also alter ride times. The detail to which they are involved will depend on the age and skill level of the group as a whole. Our goals are safety, fun and learning! We even have camps that parents can join in the fun as well!

 Trail Camp

Trail camps are perfect if you want to get out on the open trail! By the end of the week, campers will be hitting the trail, weather permitting. In this camp, riders will learn how to navigate obstacles, how to stay safe on the trail and other important tips when trail riding. This is the perfect way to both enjoy horses and the great outdoors!

Overnight Camp

Students will arrive between 8:00am-9:00am and get their belongings situated. Students will ride a minimium of twice daily and experience an array of horse related activities. Enjoy 3 days and 2 nights of horses, camaraderie, and fun! Enhance a young rider’s skill and confidence! Gain valuable experience in and out of the saddle. Campers will stay in a bunkhouse-like accommodations adjacent to Wichita Riding Academy. Bring your saddle, riding clothes, fun clothes and maybe your favorite pillow. All meals included. Pick-up and drop-off can be arranged from the Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport.

Farm Camp

For those who are less interested in riding, our farm campers learn all there is to know about farm life - except riding.  Campers will have the chance to interact with the wide variety of farm animals at WRA and will spend the day learning about caring for a new farm animal. We have goats, mini donkeys, mini horses, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, a pig, and of course, horses! *2-hour camp
