We are fortunate to have Gayle coming for 2 days. She is a national and international leader in equestrian science. For more than four decades, Gayle Lampe has been the saddle seat program director at William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. She holds judges’ cards in nine equestrian disciplines and has judged competitions in 43 states as well as Australia, Canada, Great Britain and South Africa. She has also conducted clinics in 18 states and three foreign countries.

For more than four decades Gayle Lampe has been the saddle seat program director at Will Woods University in Fulton , Missouri. She holds judges’ cards in nine equestrian disciplines and has judged competitions in 43 states as well as Australia, Canada, Great Britain and South Africa. She has also conducted clinics in 18 states and three foreign countries. Gayle instructed the US Saddle Seat equitation team to a gold medal at the World Cup Competition and has conducted numerous USEF judges clinics Gayle has judged numerous Arabian, Half-Arabian, National Show Horse, Morgan and Morab competitions, as well as, the Good Hands Finals at Madison Square Gardens, She also coached the U.S. Saddle Seat equitation team. In addition to teaching and judging, Gayle also has shown Saddlebred, Morgan and Arabians. She showed the Morgan, Zephyr’s King Moro to win the Ladies Park Horse Under Saddle Championship at the Grand National Morgan Horse Show, the Arabian stallion, D.W. Bonfire, to an undefeated season, and in 2003 Gayle showed her own horse, Callaway’s Born to Win, to earn the Ladies Five-Gaited Championship title at the World Championship Saddlebred Show held at the Kentucky State Fair Additionally, at the United Professional Horseman’s Association’s, American Royal National Championship Horse Show, Gayle won the qualifying class plus the Five-Gaited Ladies National Championship on Born to Win in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2008. Callaway’s Born to Win, shown by Gayle Lampe, was ranked by the United States Equestrian Federation as the National Five-Gaited Open Horse of the Year for 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2009. In 2007, Gayle and Born To Win won thirteen classes including the Ladies Five Gaited Championship at the Lexington Junior League Horse Show and the inaugural Pink Ribbon Class (benefiting research for the cure for breast cancer) which was the Ladies Five Gaited Championship at the American Royal. Gayle has been the recipient of the United Professional Horseman’s Association Equitation Instructor of the Year Award, the Missouri-Kansas Horse Person of the Year Award, the two time Distinguished Professor Award at William Woods University and in 2007 she received the Audrey Gutridge Award at the World Championship Saddle Horse Show. Also in 2007, the American Riding Instructor’s Association awarded Gayle the title of Master Instructor. She is the author of "Riding for Success, Both In and Out of the Ring," a book that is considered the ultimate reference guide to saddle seat riding. In her spare time, Gayle enjoys walking, planting trees, ping-pong and her ducks. She even managed to win a Gold Medal at the Missouri Show Me Games in Women’s Singles Table Tennis, the same day she coached the first place winner in Academy Equitation at the Boone County Fair. |
