About Wichita Riding Academy

We're teaching Wichita to ride! Even younger children, from age 4, will enjoy lessons in horsemanship at all levels with opportunities to learn responsibilities of caring for a horse and equipment, as well as stall and pasture life. We teach Saddle Seat, Hunt Seat, Western, Driving, Halter, Showmanship, Equitation and horse care. Ride either outdoors or in our indoor arena. Choose private or group instructions, camps or clinics. We also offer horse training and boarding.

SORRY, WE DO NOT OFFER TRAIL RIDES OR RENTAL HORSES.

Our instructors are selected for their experience in horsemanship and abilities to properly instruct students. Owner Cheryl Manahan attended William Woods University Equestrian Science program. She has managed Wichita Riding Academy since it was founded in 1984. Cheryl has instructed & trained many state and national champion riders and horses.

Wichita Riding Academy, Inc. is a teaching, boarding and horse training facility. Our facilities include a 220 x 54 foot indoor arena, stabling for 30 horses, outdoor arenas, four turnout pens, four round pens, indoor and outdoor wash racks, outdoor pasture and dry lot boarding. Our main barn also includes 12 foot aisles, an observation room, two restrooms, pop and snack machines and private tack lockers are also available. Our facility also has ample trailer parking.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From the East: Take Kellogg (Hwy 54) to Greenwich Road. Go south 4 miles on Greenwich to 39th Street South. Turn to the West (right), go 1/4 mile. WRA is on the south side of the road.

From the West: Take Kellogg (Hwy 54) to Webb Road. Go South 4 miles on Webb to 39th Street South. Turn to the East (left), go 3/4 mile. WRA is on the south side of the road.

From the South: Take Rock Road or Rose Hill Road to 47th Street South. Take 47th to Greenwich, go North to 39th Street South. Go West 1/4 mile. WRA is on the south side of the road.

From the North: Take Highway 96 to Kellogg (Hwy 54), go West (right) to Greenwich Road. Go south 4 miles on Greenwich to 39th Street South. Turn to the West (right), go 1/4 mile. WRA is on the south side of the road.

From the Turnpike: Take exit 50. Exit to your right at the first stop light go South (right) on Greenwich. Go south 4 miles on Greenwich to 39th Street South. Turn to the West (right), go 1/4 mile. WRA is on the south side of the road.
